The Bridge of SighsNo, not a Mills & Boon steamy novel - The "Bridge of Sighs" was built in 1913, between two buildings of Hertford College and is close to the Radcliffe Camera. It is named after the Bridge of Sighs in Venice, but in fact looks nothing like it! Visitors can take a walk underneath the bridge to the Turf Tavern, a popular pub with tourists and students alike and ponder life's eternal questions; "What is love?", "How many stars are in the sky?", and "How does the man who drives the snow plough get to work?" |
