MayrhofenSince Snowbombers love the Austrian resort of Mayrhofen so much, it would be churlish for us to move! We'll be back in our favourite Alpine town in 2010 for the sixth year and.... the best Snowbombing yet. Mayrhofen looks like it's been lifted straight from a chocolate box lid. Add the fantastic choice of Hotels, tons of restaurants, bars, spas, shops and amazing venues...you couldn't ask for more.

The Zillertal 3000 ski area has every reason to call itself one of the finest skiing and snowboarding areas anywhere in Europe. With 157 km of slopes, 49 lifts and snow guaranteed to 2,500 metres (that's 8,250 feet, in old money), the region numbers among the top ski areas of the Alps. With sunny and treeless summit slopes, broad carving areas and challengingly steep north slopes, fantastic deep snow areas with cornices, humps, powder runs and fun slopes there is something here for everybody ? from free skiers'n'boarders, to the vertically-challenged nubies (who should make use of Mayrhofens excellent ski schools). Food & DrinkWith a total of 43 restaurants and 18 bars, you will never be short of options for refuelling (and that's not even including the facilities on the mountain!) The great thing about Mayrhofen is that you will not find any of the extortionate food and drinks prices so common to many European resorts. Beer will set you back only a couple of Euros, and considering Austria drinks more Grolsch than anywhere else in Europe, be sure there will be no shortage!

We are blessed in that Mayrhofen is a user-friendly resort - no buses are needed to get around to all our venues in resort...and 90% of our beds are within a short 8-10 minute walk of the lifts. With accommodation to suit all depth pockets - from cost conscious apartments and great value traditional guest houses and centrally located en suite rooms (all with balconies, incidentally)...to bling-tastic 4 star spa luxury sited next door to the main lift! Arctic Hotel (Sleep Over)!A once in a life-time experience. The ultimate sleepover high: you and your mates can spend the night in a cosy Igloo, on a spectacular mountain top. Just yourselves, a waiter to bring your food and drinks, and a heated Jacuzzi beneath the stars. Then you awake to an alpine sunrise, eat a delicious breakfast prior to strapping on your board and making first tracks on the virgin piste.

STREET PARTYIt's a Roadblock... Literally! We stop the traffic, park a stadium rock Funktion 1 P.A system right across the main street, set up loads of bars and invite the entire population of Mayrhofen to join the fancy dress party. Previous fancy dress themes have included superheroes, mythical heroes, animals, inflatable Viking ships, retro-skiwear... and Bill Oddie.

BACK COUNTRY PARTYTravel by coach through the inside of a mountain to, up the steep sided valley, through a wild forest, past the waterfall, to the snowfields which lead to the Tux, glacier. Here you'll spend your evening in a unique venue: the 200 year old Tristenbachalm: a converted traditional wooden farmstead- which possesses a sound system, outside terrace complete with fire pits, split level bars, minstrels gallery and of course decks! |

HIGHWAY TO HELLEach year we showcase some of Europe's best pro-riders and programme an event in the award-winning Vans terrain park, giving you the chance to see how it should be done. You get to watch rail riding, spectacular big air jumps and suicidal kicker action, sat at the Grillalm with a cool beer in your hand, prior to being joined by the riders in a post-event party. |

KING OF THE MOUNTAINFour amazing bands are given the chance of a lifetime as they travelled to Austria and play in the now legendary Xbox Social to groups of party-animal Snowbombers. Only one band can be crowned KOTM and earn themselves a nice lump sum of 2000 euros!
