The trip would normally depart your university Friday morning... kick back as you travel on one of our comfy executive coaches fully equipped with reclining seats DVD player and WC. Fun things to do

Guinness Storehouse

The Guinness Storehouse has been home to the black stuff since 1759 and is Ireland's Number One Visitor Attraction... you simply cannot leave Dublin without having paid a visit. One of the many highlights is the Gravity Bar where you & your group will receive a complimentary pint of Guinness and can relax and enjoy the breathtaking 360-degree views across Dublin City.

Stadium Tour of Croke Park

Follow in the footsteps of Mohammed Ali, Bono and Robbie William and make an appearance at the home of Gaelic Games, headquarters of the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association), and with a capacity for 82,300 people, Croke Park has been at the heart of Irish sporting life for over a hundred years. The guided tour will take  you through the dressing rooms, premium and corporate levels, the VIP section, media centre, service areas and, of course pitch side.

23 stops, a witty commentary and imaginative themes add up to a double-decker dream of a sightseeing experience.

River Cruise on the Liffy

Waterborne sight-seeing cruises on the Liffey will give you an intriguing insight into Dublin folklore and history – without having to use precious dancing energy! All sailings depart from and return to Bachelors Walk and are 45 minutes in duration with full commentary on board.

The Book of Kells

Quite simply Ireland's finest national treasure: an illuminated manuscript in Latin, containing the four Gospels of the New Testament. This magnificent medieval manuscript is on permanent display at Trinity College, who usually display two of the current four volumes at a time, one showing a major illustration and the other showing typical text pages.

Dublin Castle

Dublin Castle is the heart of historic Dublin. The Castle stands on the ridge on a strategic site at the junction of the River Liffy. Within easy walking distance from your accommodation it is definitely worth a visit.

The Dublin Writers Museum

The Irish literary tradition is one of the most illustrious in the world, famous for four Nobel Prize winners. In 1991, the Dublin Writers Museum was opened to house a history and celebration of literary Dublin. Situated in a magnificent 18th century mansion in the north city centre, the collection features the lives and works of Dublin's literary celebrities over the past three hundred years.

Saint Patrick's Cathedral

Saint Patrick's Cathedral has contributed much to Irish life throughout its long history. Founded in 1191, it is a must see.... 

The Christ Church Cathedral

The Dean and Chapter of Christ Church Cathedral is one of Dublin's most recognised landmark. The Mother Church of the Dioceses of Dublin and Glendalough in the Church of Ireland welcomes visitors to the cities oldest building.

Dublin City Hall

A visit to the Dublin City Hall allows you to trace the evolution of Dublin. Treasures of the city such as the Great Sword and mace of Dublin and the Lord Mayor's chains come together with video medieval manuscripts, interactive computer displays and period costumes to tell the story of the Capital city.

Moore Street

Scene of Dublin's famous street barrow vendors... This colourful and lively street is a must for those of you who wish to experience a slice of life and get a flavour of Dublin through the wit of its people.

Blackrock Market

It's one of Ireland's best run and most successful weekend markets. Established in 1996, the market boasts a unique mixture in new, second-hand and antique goods. 
It's also unique in the sense that it combines a broad range of fine & modern art, collectibles, furniture, soft furnishings and hand crafts with an eclectic mix usually only seen in traditional European flea markets.

Designer Mart at Cow's Lane

This outdoor market located in the Old City area of Temple Bar showcases artwork and designer creations by Irish designers. 
The variety of quality products at this unique outdoor market are endless including handcrafted hats, metal sculpture, photography, paintings, ceramics, furniture, jewellery, hand-bags, children's clothing and glass sculpture.

Nightlife

There is much more to this 'fair city' than the tourist-attracting 'Oirish' themed pubs of Temple Bar (although we always seem to end up there!)... If you want the authentic experience in the city centre, check out Neary's in Chatham Street, McDaid's just off Grafton Street or John Mulligan's in Poolbeg Street. These are proper Irish pubs with good pints and good people to match.

Q-BAR

Always-popular three level café-cum-pub-cum-club, which locals describe as ‘deadly’ with ‘savage’ music. This is apparently a positive appraisal and means you can quite easily get lost for hours on end, enjoying the infectious music. Tasty food served until 9.30pm, after which time, a “liquid supper” consisting of affordable cocktails and shots is served until late!

Blarney Inn

Irish music, Irish atmosphere, Irish clientele and Irish food: signature dishes are Bacon, cabbage and potatoes, Irish Stew , fresh fish, (great) lobsters and oysters, mussels and crab sticks, all washed down with a pint of 'the black stuff', of course!

McDaids

One of the true literary pubs of Dublin it was frequented in its time by many of the greats of Irish literature; (they say James Joyce used to sit in the far corner and nurse a pint for up to an hour) Popular with locals and tourists...

The Pod

An acronym meaning 'place of dance'. This temple to euphoria has seen more top DJ's than Ibiza airport arrivals lounge. Considered 'the flagship' of the Irish dance scene and been at the cutting edge of club culture for over a decade now and always worth a visit if you are up for a big night.

Club M

Club M has a great location right in the middle of Dublin's Temple Bar. It's always busy, has a great dance floor, great lighting and plenty of space to sit...

Food & Drink

Dublin is a modern, cosmopolitan city and this is reflected in the huge variety of restaurants on offer. Whatever your taste and wherever you choose to nosh, the portions will be generous and hearty - especially in the pubs. With its coastal location, it's not surprising to find so much seafood on offer in Dublin, in particular smoked salmon and oysters are a favourite and are usually consumed with a Guinnes!

Beshoff 'Fish & Chips'

'The best fish and chips in all Ireland'... Well we certainly think so. Battered to perfection and fresher than a freshers ball, the fish is a dream and the chips taste like chips ought to (if you get our drift): a Dublin institution and an Outgoing fave!
