Fun thinngs to do in Newquay

Surfing Lessons

Any trip to Newquay is definitely not complete without giving surfing a go. You can get a two and a half hour lesson which will guarantee to have you hooked. You will never ever forget the first time you stand up and ride a wave -unless you fall over and get concussion of course...) The surfing option is a must!

Coasteering

For the ultimate adrenalin high... go coasteering. This thrilling activity combines climbing, scrambling, sea swimming and cliff jumping, taking you to otherwise inaccessible parts of the Cornish coast. Routes traverse around the foot of high cliffs and through sea caves, allowing you to get up close and personal with all kinds of marine life. Sessions are led by professional coasteering guides who will keep you safe and test your limits....

Rock Climbing

Cornwall provides some of the best in the UK at both coastal and moorland locations. This rewarding activity is a test of nerves, skill and agility. Depending on your ability the instructors will choose the most suitable locations for your climbing lesson at some famous and not so famous climbing routes in Cornwall.

Kitesurfing, boarding & buggying

Kitesurfing, kite boarding and kite buggying are Cornwall's cool new sports. These kite sports make great alternatives to our standard activities when it's windy and blown out...

Bodyboarding

If you prefer to get your kicks lying horizontal, and laying down is more your style, then have a Body-boarding lesson. The emphasis here is on fun - so get a group together and you will be getting barrelled in the surf before you know it!

The Eden Project

Feel like a little education…You have heard about it, now experience it for yourself, The Eden Project aims . . . 'to promote the understanding and responsible management of the vital relationship between plants, people and resources leading to a sustainable future for all'. A must for any environmentally conscious student.

Quad Biking

Feel the power between your thighs and hit up on one of the best dirt racing circuits around. Slip and slide and hit the bumps and jumps... So Much Fun!!!

Lusty Glaze Adventure Centre

Lusty Glaze Beach has one of the most exciting and exhilarating extreme activities centres around - Listen to some funky beats while experiencing the highest zip wires in Europe. You can also give abseiling and the assault course a try.

Horse Riding

Experience the surreal beauty of the Cornwall coast while horse riding on one of the many treks in and around Newquay. Don't worry if you have never ridden a horse either because the stables have some lovely horses that will enable you to build up your confidence. Great fun when you're not at the beach!

Paintballing

Grab a bunch of mates and 'pump' out some rounds on the battlefield while you protect your base. Challenge another university group or society to the ultimate combat experience, and see who heads home the cleanest.

Go Karting

Get your thrill on and your heart thumping as you race your friends around the track at blistering speeds. You can even record your lap times to see who gets the fastest lap and speed.

Nightlife

Sophisticated, exclusive and expensive – just three words which don’t describe the UK’s liveliest seaside resort’s after-dark ambience. The accent here is on no frills high energy action…and lots of it! Not for the faint hearted or shy, Newquay nightlife perfectly expresses what it’s like to be young, carefree… and on holiday! The town centre is a colourful street party and the venues throb with bass drums, guitars and laughter. Livelier than a barrel full of electric eels (and just as lethal!); Newquay‘s nightlife is pure, unadulterated stay-awake and snog-a-stranger fun!

Pure Nightclub

Newquay’s newest palace of insomnia - four rooms of stay-awake action taking in urban grooves, Nu-Rave, club classics and singalong indie anthems. All of which are lapped up with relish by a young, loud and very friendly crowd.

Koola Bar

It's all about the music… Koola is one of the coolest clubs around from the super sleek stylish interior through to the DJ’s it has hosted. With three levels and capacity for over 900, Koola and the Chy Bar is a great choice for student groups.

Sailors

One of the most popular clubs in Newquay. Having played host to many naughty nautical nights at Summerbreak each June, Sailors is not only one of the best venues a Summer Break favourite, it’s a seven nights a week messy ‘shore leave’ which welcomes everyone in a “£1.50 selected drinks and bottles” embrace.

Sugar Lounge

Modern canteen feel and cool soundtrack make 'The Lounge' a popular place to hang. Big blue jugs with straws a specialty and the coolest lager in town are among the treats in store.

The Barracuda

If you believe big is beautiful (and looking at Peter Crouch we can understand why you may have reservations), then Barracuda is the place to be. With a capacity of 1700 with live video footage, the 21ft screen plays all the action from the dance floor and all the fun’n’frolicks from the riotous shenanigans – which feature everything from pillow fights to rather damp t-shirts…

The Beach Nightclub

WOAH… what a club – Three floors and a chill-out bar makes The Beach Nightclub an absolute favourite. It gets wet and wild on the dance floor with regular foam parties each week.

Berties

Top notch Newquay niterie which has seen more action from Radio One DJ's than those twins who hag around the back door of Broadcasting House. Great sound and with a pink (and utterly porntastic) upstairs lounge bar just made for snogging, a visit to Berties is just what the party doctor orders!

Food & Drink

Whether you're tongue is tickled by international cuisine (Newquay offers everything from Doner kebabs to Pork Chow Mein), or delicate regional dishes (er that'll be Cornish pasties) ? or even ?fusion? food; a ground breaking approach which sees homegrown delicacies interpreted in a contemporary manner using overseas influences and flavors (Chicken Balti pastie, basically); Newquay serves up the lot! In fact you only have to look at the pavements on early Sunday morning to see how popular the local pizzeria is ? those multi-coloured puddles are pizzas, aren't they?

The Bird

Thai snack bar and take-away offering traditional Thai cuisine cooked by Noam the chef all the way from Koh Lanta, Thailand. Oodles of noodles! An Outgoing fave!

Maharajah Indian Restaurant

Excellent curry house boasting sea views that'll make your eyes pop (if the vindaloo doesn't!). Great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Shame about that tinkly music they insist on playing (Now That's What I Call Curry House Vol 15)

Outgoing can provide customised merchandise that will have you and your group really looking like they're going places! Whether it is t-shirts, hoodies or crews, our team of graphic designers will make sure that you have something to remember your trip in addition to great memories. Sales are processed online at time of booking and we will make sure that they are all distributed before you go away.

Insurance

Outgoing can provide insurance policies at 3 levels offering you comprehensive cover regardless of your budget. The policy is underwritten by Accident & General and provides an excellent 24 hour service via Europ Assistance. It's better to be safe than sorry!

Private Rooms

Some people need that extra bit of privacy - For this reason we can offer an upgrade to a twin rooms on most trips. Rooms are available for an additional supplement subject to availability.
