Suiting all abilities and offering fantastic nightlife. The bars are located centrally, making for the ultimate apres ski, this truly is a perfect student destination. Plus you have the choice of being accommodated centrally or right on the slopes!

Skiing & BoardingThere are two main ski areas in Alpe d'Huez. One is on the opposite side of the village from the Pic Blanc, to the top of Signal at 2,115m. It gives you a mixture of great reds and blues, while the other is right over on the other side of the valley.... Lots of good reds make it well worth going over with the added bonus of ski in and out of Auris-en-Oisans, lower than Alpe d'Huez but serviced with a speedy lift.

If you find that the 250-odd kilometres of trails aren't enough...! There is a further option, with the six-day lift pass that Outgoing offers being valid for two days at the nearby resort of Les Deux Alpes. Its only a short shuttle bus away and we always like to do this on at least one day over your holidays if we can get a group together. Close |
BeginnerThe best area for beginners are the huge, wide green runs near to where most of the accommodation is situated. This is ideal; as it means there isn’t far to walk at the end of the lesson and the additional width of the pistes ensures there’s lots of room for those tricky learning manoevers! |
IntermediatesAlpe D'huez offers a lot to Intermediates with the pistes being well connected. However we would recommend heading out to the lower of Pic Blanc glacier which is ideal for all those intermediate skiers and riders looking for some fresh challenges. |
AdvancedThe Pic Blanc Glacier is full of decent black runs ready to test the advanced skier ad rider, especially the very top of this area. The glacier also offers some great off piste areas (only with an instructor though guys!). |
Freestyle & SnowboardingThe off piste terrain in Alpe D'Huez and off the Glacier is legendary! Glacier resorts always offer the best powder snow and the driest conditions, and Alpe d'Huez is no exception to that rule. The vast open powder fields around the summit open out into some intermediate-friendly terrain. |
GlacierThe Pic Blanc Glacier (3330m) is incredibly snow sure. The top is suitable for advanced riders, but the lower sections are wider and gentler, suitable for more intermediate riders. On a clear day... a fifth (apparently) is visible from the summit! |
Apres SkiWe know that a tailored après ski is a fundamental part of your group holiday and we’ll work with you to create the ideal party programme. This is easy to do in Alpe D’Huez anyway as it is a renowned party town. The area boasts over 30 bars and clubs to get your teeth stuck into - the atmosphere is definately young, lively... basically perfect for university groups and Outgoing!
