Skiing & Boarding

Chamonix has 5 ski areas plus an incredibly extensive off piste terrain. The ski areas are set along the valley and accessed easily on the free ski bus. With Chamonix being the Mecca that it is, it attracts some of the best skiers and boarders who really want to challenge themselves amidst the ultimate alpine backdrop.

Beginner

There are 5 different areas in the valley where beginners will be comfortable (see more info). Each of these have green and blue runs to practice on, however Teleski de Savoy nursery slope is the most convenient, located right in the centre of town! (Great for absolute beginners who may feel the need to stagger into a nearby cosy bar after a few hours!)

Intermediate

Le Tour is very popular with intermediate skiers and boarders. The runs are wide, with a variety of both blue and red runs. It's also home to many blue and red runs making this ideal for those of an intermediate standard.

Advanced

The legendary Grands Montets is a great area for advanced skiing and snowboarding. The valley has over 30,000 acres of ski-able off piste terrain using the lift system, so it's well worthwhile exploring the area... (get a guide though!)

Freestyle & Snowboarding

The Grands Montets has a cool snow park which is great for advanced and developing intermediates who are looking to push themselves. This park offers a half a dozen rails and boxes, plenty of kickers, and a boarder cross to tackle just to the side of the park, along with a sound-system powered by an army of local pro-riders who winter here.

Glacier

The Valle Blanche glacier (the white valley) is probably the most famous ski run in the world. There are no groomed pistes, marked trails or ski patrol, this is off-piste, like you've never seen it before. If you are to ski this terrain, having your own transceivers is vital, as is your own off-piste guide; it just doesn't get much more alpine than this, but you must be well equipped.

Apres Ski

We’re aware from experience that a tailored après ski is a fundamental part of your group holiday and we’ll work with you to create the ideal party programme. We are pretty dam lucky in Cham though... as it is pretty much offers the coolest après ski in the French alps; a superb collection of bars, shops, cafes, restaurants and clubs have forged a reputation of a rocking nightlife and cosmopolitan mix of coolites from across Europe. With over 115 restaurants to choose from and 12 bars and nightclubs, “Cham” offers everything you need for a memorable après and ultra-cool aural alpine adventure... (how many times did we say cool in that parragraph?!)

DJ's & Bands

One of the things that we do really well is throw a party in the mountains (Snowbombing & Winter Break are Outgoing events). Talk to us about what your group is after... as we have the relationships and contacts with many major acts and agencies. So whether it is a live band, DJ or club night your group are after - we have no problem helping to arrange this as either an extra element to your holiday (resort and numbers dependant) or as a promotional night in your city.

Valley Rally

The Valley Rally is no doubt a student ski institution, one of the best days of your tour and one of the funniest days on the slopes for your group. Outgoing has run countless of them over the years - so be prepared for lots of stupidity, debauchery and a range of ridiculous challenges at the checkpoints all around the mountain! Fancy dress essential...

Meal on mountain

One of the highlights of every group ski holiday, the ‘Meal on the Mountain’ it's one the best opportunities to get your whole group together for one HUGE party and a whole lot of ‘Fromage’... These vary from resort to resort as we take over a restaurant on the mountain or in the village for a typically French fondue, with a typically student attitude – table dance anyone?

Group Race Day

For some universities racing is a very important aspect, while for others it is more about having a laugh... Whatever your motivations Outgoing can organise this for you... It will always be with run professionally with experienced staff (traditionally we do this in conjunction with the resort ski school).

We guarantee:

• Experienced staff to oversee racing (we have a partnership with Kings Ski Club)
• Please note – racing is weather permitting and some resorts may charge for piste hire... so please ask if this is available in your chosen resort

Your Group Package

Outgoing go further to ensure that every aspect of your trip is carefully planned & organised. We meet every committee in person to gain a comprehensive understanding of what you & your group require - we will then come back to you with a comprehensive proposal with a number of resorts and packages that suit your needs.  Outlined below is some of the standard package information...

Self Catering Package

Outgoing Ski have been successfully providing self catering ski and board holidays since all-in-ones and fluro ski clothing were cool first time around! We specialise in taking large student groups away with us, and the flexibility of self catering has made it one of our most favoured holiday options.

All Inclusive package

Find everything you have in the self catering package, breakfast, hot or packed lunch, 4 course buffet evening meals, your own discounted bar, high quality ski hire, tuition of guiding for any level, and an extra half day lift pass.

Coach Travel

Outgoing provide coach pickups directly from your university! From the UK coaches will typically take around 18-20 hours. All coaches are fitted with DVD players, toilets, reclining seats and air conditioning as standard for your comfort, and are a great chance for everyone to get to know each other on the way out!

Staff & Reps

We have a large team of in house staff with backgrounds that include Event Management, Travel, Logistics, Production, Marketing, Sponsorship, and Branding. We also understand that Reps (& event managers) are one of the key factors to the success of your trip and for that reason we invest heavily in training.

Group Promotion

We take over 50,000 students away every year - and as a result we are experts in student marketing. We can help you build on what you are doing to market your trip and integrate a number of our sales and promo techniques to help market your trip and achieve your groups goals.

Booking System

Outgoing has an advanced group booking system that makes it incredibly easy for the committee and members booking on.

Tuition

Our tuition option offers lessons for all standards from the complete beginner to the more advanced. We have contracts with the best ski schools - all instructors are uber friendly, and all speak English. Pre booking lessons is essential as it will offer a big saving on the in resort price.

Equipment Hire

Outgoing work with Ski Set, the number 1 independent French and Austrian mountain sport shop. We can therefore offer a wide choice of quality equipment with a large saving on the usual in-resort hire prices. We also benefit from a wide choice of shop locations, enabling us to choose the shop most convenient for your accommodation.

Winter Sports Insurance

It is essential that all passengers travelling with Outgoing have appropriate winter insurance cover. Outgoing can provide a great value and comprehensive insurance policy. The policy is underwritten by Accident & General and provides an excellent 24 hour service via Europ Assistance. It's really better to be safe than sorry!

Merchandise

Ski & Snowboard club merchandise is essential if you want to stand out and build the club brand. We can design, source and print T-Shirts, Hoods, Crews, Polos - whatever you want! We can also sell and promote the merchandise online and at time of booking - we will make sure that they are all distributed before you go away. Meal Options

Whether you want a bespoke group meal in a local restaurant or daily evening meal option... we can arrange this for you. We will make sure that your entire group eats in one sitting, tailor meals to suit the groups budget and have the option of selling this online at time of booking.

Flights

Outgoing are unique in offering flights home... allowing your group to take advantage of some of the low cost carriers flying into resort. Talk to us about this option as it may not cost as much as you think and you could offer it as an option for your members. Available at selected resorts.
