Outgoing > La Plagne
LA PLAGNE
Europe's largest purpose built ski resort set amidst spectacular scenery, made up of ten different villages, each with its own style. La Plagne 1800 is a more traditional village with quaint buildings and alpine feel, make your way to La Plagne Centre for the buzzing nightlife and apres ski. The resort is set at a high altitude in the Savoie French Alps which means the resort has a great snow record. Both resorts are ideal for your uni ski and snowboard club whatever the group size!

Must SkiTHE CARINA RUNNot especially difficult considering it's a red run, but very, very enjoyable. Vastly wide, with great snow in the mornings; no slouches; this is high-speed terrain! |

SKIING AND BOARDINGLa Plagne forms part of the fabulous Paradiski area; combining all the resorts of La Plagne, Les Arcs and Peisey Vallandry into one giant heavenly playground, creating one of the largest ski areas in the world. Boarders and skiers are kept more than busy with over 425km of pisted slopes and a variety of snowparks, boarder crosses and half-pipes. All standards are welcome here! |
BeginnerGenius! Each village possesses a nursery slope which delivers gleeful learners between each centre. The quiet runs down to Montlabert are also recommended for beginners as they are always well-groomed and never too busy. |
IntermediateMost of the connecting runs around the area are scenic blues meaning intermediates can explore most of the mountain (whilst visiting many excellent Mountain restaurants!) If you're up for a challenge, head over to the slopes of Grande Rochette, and ride the long run of Mont de la Guerre. In the bar later you'll have earned your beer! |
AdvancedThe Bellecote glacier awaits; explore its long tree-lined motorway runs which run from Aime La Plagne past Plagne 1800 . There are bags of nifty off-piste action on offer here too. Those who prefer their fun in a cup marked 'freestyle' will also enjoy the (north facing)half-pipe at the Bellecote park, just one of 5 freestyle parks, La Plagne has to offer. AB-SOL-UTE BLISS!!! |
Freestyle & SnowboardingThis is why you learnt to board: a total of four terrain parks, 3 of which offer boarder cross. The Bellecote Park also offers a north-facing half-pipe, and other obstacles to tackle. Freestylers will also enjoy the numerous off piste areas in La Plagne. |
GlacierThe Bellecote glacier consists of a few blue runs for intermediates; however most of the terrain here is for advanced riders. Advanced riders will enjoy the black slopes the glacier offers, as well as the off piste terrain. These descents are particularly dangerous, so it is vital that if you do ski off piste in this area (or uopu have one of our instructors with you if you choose the all inclusive package) -they will really show you the ropes |
Apres skiLa Plagne does have a quieter après ski than other competing French resorts such as Chamonix, Tignes and Val D’Isere. However it does have some great bars and restaurants. Belle Plagne is the most lively part of town, followed by La Plagne Centre, and then la Plagne 1800. Our Favourite Bars and Nightclubs:

Scotty'sHaunt of tanned seasonaires and flirty instructors. As British as an afternoon at the cricket, a cup of tea (their cuppa is the best in town, incidentally) and a Cliff Richard fan club convention. 'Proper' crisps and a great pint of Guinness make this THE place to catch up with the footy results and compare bruises. Plagne Center, Chalet Hotel Christina, La Plagne TavernePopular central location, a stunning array of shots and a particularly friendly atmosphere conspire to create a great way to end the day. L'OxygeneMontchavin's premier niterie: glamour, glitz and more flashing lights than a Piste Bully midnight convention. A bit pricey but then what post midnight resort haunt isn't? Close |
Bespoke Apres & Events |
DJ's & BandsOne of the things that we do really well is throw a party in the mountains (Snowbombing & Winter Break are Outgoing events). Talk to us about what your group is after... as we have the relationships and contacts with many major acts and agencies. So whether it is a live band, DJ or club night your group are after - we have no problem helping to arrange this as either an extra element to your holiday (resort and numbers dependant) or as a promotional night in your city. |
Valley RallyThe Valley Rally is no doubt a student ski institution, one of the best days of your tour and one of the funniest days on the slopes for your group. Outgoing has run countless of them over the years - so be prepared for lots of stupidity, debauchery and a range of ridiculous challenges at the checkpoints all around the mountain! Fancy dress essential... |
Meal on MountainOne of the highlights of every group ski holiday, the ‘Meal on the Mountain’ it's one the best opportunities to get your whole group together for one HUGE party and a whole lot of ‘Fromage’... These vary from resort to resort as we take over a restaurant on the mountain or in the village for a typically French fondue, with a typically student attitude – table dance anyone? |
