Skiing & Boarding

A decade of re-investment has resulted in Mayrhofen gradually being acknowledged as one of the best resorts in the world - offering ski runs for every ability from beginner through to advanced this coupled with fantastic infrastructure makes the resort a pleasure to ski. Recent additions to the pisted area (which increased by a whopping 49%), has led to Mayrhofen being awarded "Europe’s most improved resort".

Beginner

Mayrhofen enjoys an excellent reputation for its English speaking ski & board tuition. The nursery slopes at the top of the Penken and Ahorn mountains are snow sure and have a good variety of gentle slopes – ideal for learning to ski or board; and what’s more, all (except one), have comfy modern chairs, as opposed to the beginners worst enemy: the T-bar!

Intermediate

The Ziller valley is an intermediates paradise. After exploring the many long W-I- D-E open blue and red runs of the Penken, head over to Lanarsbach for some south-facing sunshine carving. Your Zillertal 3000 pass also gives you access to the varied terrain of Zell am Ziller, Hippach, Kaltenbach, Fugen and Gerlos; all of which yield some varied challenges for all experienced sliders.

Advanced

Explore some challenging valley descents, including steep mogul area’s in Mayrhofen. Before catching the free bus to the Tux glacier, Austria’s highest lifted point and sheer heaven for confident skiers & boarders: from here you are literally at the geographical centre of Europe and can gaze over three countries: Austria, German and in the next valley, Italy!

Freestyle & Snowboarding

Mayrhofen has developed itself in the past years from an insider tip to a paradise for snowboarders and free skiers and is one of the top meeting spots in the Alps, in fact many pro-riders are based here.

Glacier

Quite literally the coolest thing about the Zillertal area is the mighty Tux glacier - Austria's highest lifted point at a dizzying 3,286m which is spectacularly reached by the highest double chairlift in the world! The glacier is a short bus ride away from Mayrhofen - offering fantastic piste and off-piste action all year round, as well as Europe’s highest half-pipe

Apres Ski

We know that a tailored après ski is a fundamental part of your group holiday (indeed for some the ‘après’ is as important as the ‘ski’!) and so we’ll work with you to create the ideal party programme for your group – making the most of Mayrhofen. With a (definitely not tee) total of 43 restaurants and 18 bars, you will never be short of options for refuelling - and that's not even including the facilities on the mountain! The great thing about Mayrhofen is that you will not find any of the extortionate food and drinks prices so common to many European resorts.

DJ's & Bands

One of the things that we do really well is throw a party in the mountains (Snowbombing & Winter Break are prime examples). Talk to us about what your group is after as we have strong relationships with many major acts and agencies. So whether its a live band, DJ or club night your group are after - its not a problem. We can arrange this as either an extra element to your holiday (resort and numbers dependant) or as a promotional night in your city.

Valley Rally

The Valley Rally is no doubt a student ski institution, one of the best days of your tour and one of the funniest days on the slopes for your group. Outgoing has run countless Valley Rallies over the years - so be prepared for lots of stupidity, debauchery and a range of ridiculous challenges at the checkpoints all around the mountain! Fancy dress is essential...

Meal on the Mountain

One of the highlights of every group ski holiday is the ‘Meal on the Mountain’. It's one the best opportunities to get your whole group together for one huge party and a whole lot of ‘Fromage’. These vary from resort to resort as we take over a restaurant on the mountain or in the village for a typically French fondue, with a typically student attitude – table dance anyone?

Group Race Day

For some universities racing is a very important aspect, while for others it is more about having a laugh. Whatever your motivations Outgoing can organise this for you. It will always be run professionally with experienced staff (traditionally we do this in conjunction with the resort ski school).

• Please note – racing is weather permitting and some resorts may charge for piste hire so please ask if this is available in your chosen resort

Backcountry Party

Backcountry parties have long been enjoyed by seasonaires and pro-riders, we say why should they have all the fun? Outgoing have pioneered unique evenings out of resort, which are often only accessible by torch lit trek or minibus, to traditional mountain huts in areas of outstanding natural beauty and where local customs are followed. These include imbibing mystical schnapps, local yodelers and taking part in cow milking contest! The descent is usually on toboggans; an adrenalized climax to what is a very very special and unique evening.

The Arctic Disco - Only in Mayrhofen!

magine dancing around an open fire on a plateau some 5000 feet above sea level, above you a myriad of stars sparkle bright through the alpine night. Golden embers rise and dance high above the surrounding igloo village in which you are enjoying Outgoings 'Arctic Disco'. A once-in-a-lifetime party in a venue sculpted from snow and ice. At the end of the party, everyone rides Austria's biggest cable car back down to Earth - Basically... Out. Of. This. Freakin. World.

Self Catering Package

Outgoing Ski have been successfully providing self catering ski and board holidays since all-in-ones and fluro ski clothing were cool first time around! We specialise in taking large student groups away with us, and the flexibility of self catering has made it one of our most favoured holiday options.

Coach Travel

Outgoing provide coach pickups directly from your university! From the UK coaches will typically take around 18-20 hours. All coaches are fitted with DVD players, toilets, reclining seats and air conditioning as standard for your comfort, and are a great chance for everyone to get to know each other on the way out!

Staff and Reps

We have a large team of in house staff with backgrounds that include Event Management, Travel, Logistics, Production, Marketing, Sponsorship, and Branding. We also understand that Reps (& event managers) are one of the key factors to the success of your trip and for that reason we invest heavily in training.

Group Promotion

We take over 50,000 students away every year - and as a result we are experts in student marketing. We can help you build on what you are doing to market your trip and integrate a number of our sales and promo techniques to help market your trip and achieve your groups goals.

Tuition

Our tuition option offers lessons for all standards from the complete beginner to the more advanced. We have contracts with the best ski schools - all instructors are uber friendly, and all speak English. Pre booking lessons is essential as it will offer a big saving on the in resort price.

Equipment Hire

Outgoing work with Ski Set, the number 1 independent French and Austrian mountain sport shop. We can therefore offer a wide choice of quality equipment with a large saving on the usual in-resort hire prices. We also benefit from a wide choice of shop locations, enabling us to choose the shop most convenient for your accommodation.

Winter Sports Insurance

It is essential that all passengers travelling with Outgoing have appropriate winter insurance cover. Outgoing can provide a great value and comprehensive insurance policy. The policy is underwritten by Accident & General and provides an excellent 24 hour service via Europ Assistance. It really is better to be safe than sorry!

Merchandise

Ski & Snowboard club merchandise is essential if you want to stand out and build the club brand. We can design, source and print T-Shirts, Hoods, Crews, Polos - whatever you want! We can also sell and promote the merchandise online and at time of booking - we will make sure that they are all distributed before you go away. Meal Options

Whether you want a bespoke group meal in a local restaurant or daily evening meal option... we can arrange it for you. We will make sure that your entire group eats in one sitting, tailor meals to suit the groups budget and have the option of selling this online at time of booking.

Flights

Outgoing are unique in offering flights home... allowing your group to take advantage of some of the low cost carriers flying into the resort. Talk to us about this option as it may not cost as much as you think and you could offer it as an option for your members. Available at selected resorts.
