What sets us apart!

Please don't forget what sets Outgoing apart from other companies is that we make the extra effort and go one step beyond to provide all those little extras that will make you & your groups life so much us easier... see below for some examples.

The Roman Pantheon

The Roman Pantheon is the most preserved and influential building of ancient Rome.
Built between A.D 118 and 125 (almost 2000 years ago), the Architecture is beyond stunning... and you have to see it!

The Roman Colesseum

Rome's most popular tourist attraction, The Roman Coliseum was commissioned in AD 72 by Emperor Vespasian. It was completed by his son, Titus, 8 years later. Capable of seating 50,000 spectators the Coliseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles including animal hunts, executions and dramas based on classical mythology. It has been estimated that around 500,000 people and over a million wild animlas died in the Coliseum games. A must visit!

The Roman Forum

The Roman Forum was the central area of the city around which ancient Rome developed. This is where commerce, business, prostitution, cult and the administration of justice took place. Great to walk around on a sunny day...

The Trevi Fountain

The Trevi fountain, inspired by Roman triumphal arches, is the largest and most famous fountain in Rome. Legend has it that it is very very lucky to throw three coins with one's right hand over one's left shoulder into the fountain...

Sistine Chapel

The Sistine Chapel is the perhaps the best known chapel in the world and the official residence ofthe Pope in Vatican City. Its amazing decoration can be attributed to some of the greatest Renaissance artists including Michelangelo, Raphael, Bernini and Sandro Botticelli... Along with the Coliseum this is a must see!

Shopping

Rome is an expensive city, so don't expect to find too many bargains. Nevertheless, window shopping is a joy and you will find good value for money, especially if buying leather goods (shoes, bags, gloves and belts).

The National Museum of Castel Sent Angelo

The National Museum of Castel Sant'Angelo inside retraces its history. The castle has various exhibits ranging from Renaissance paintings and pottery to antique military weapons. A huge spiral ramp ascends upwards the Castel Sant Angelo for about 400 feet provides great views of the city.

The Spanish Steps

A masterpiece of the XVIII century, the square, with its irregular shape, extends itself at the feet of Pincio hill; on top of it the French Church Trinita dei Monti (1502) is located. The square and the church are connected by the monumental Spanish steps... Get the video camera out and run up the stairs in start boxing... The Italians dont quite get it..... (Rocky)!

Vatican

The world's smallest country and the epicentre of all things Catholic - "Pope Central", basically. This tiny spiritual super state is as pretty to look at as it is powerful. St Peter's Basilica and Piazza San Pietro together make the Vatican one of Rome's most visited areas and most famous sights. Each Christmas Day popping up on the television news, as the Pope sends peaceful blessings in 32 languages from the balcony. You never know, he may make an appearance when you're there! - go see The Holy See!

Bus Tours

Hiring a car in Rome - are you crazy? What? Thinking about riding a scooter? Forget it - have you seen how the locals drive? Tell you what, save life and limb (not to mention a pocket of Euros) and take a bus tour around 'The Eternal City'. There are many to choose from (Vatican, Ancient Rome, Monuments of Rome and Traffic Jams of Rome, the latter proves very popular around early evening (in other words avoid the rush hour!)

Nightlife

As the weather is mild here for most part of the year, every square turns often into a big outdoor bar.  One of the best places to mix it with Italian students is San Lorenzo is where the main university is located so it is a young, laid back area where students hang out in the many pubs.

Qube

The biggest disco in Rome! Three floors with a spectrum of music that that goes from urban music to metal, goth to nu rave.

Formula 1

An Outgoing fave! You'll find it at the heart of the student quarter, San Lorenzo. The exceedingly relaxed and slightly chaotic Formula 1 is one of those basic no-frills pizza places that have been serving up some of the best in Rome for over 20 years, using real mozzarella (and not the factory kind so favoured nowadays).... Authentic Pizza in Italy - things don't get much better.

Merchandise

Outgoing can provide customised merchandise that will have you and your group really looking like they're going places! Whether it is t-shirts, hoodies or crews, our team of graphic designers will make sure that you have something to remember your trip in addition to great memories. Sales are processed online at time of booking and we will make sure that they are all distributed before you go away.

Outgoing can provide insurance policies at 3 levels offering you comprehensive cover regardless of your budget. The policy is underwritten by Accident & General and provides an excellent 24 hour service via Europ Assistance. It's better to be safe than sorry!
