Make history.

During the summer season Berlin becomes an outdoor city of pavement cafes and beer gardens. Since the fall of The Wall, Berlin has re-invented itself as one of the most stimulating and creative cities in Europe. You will find parties going on for days, bars open 24/7 and art galleries showcasing the ‘edgy’ and avant-garde. It’s also bristling with history. Berlin is home to some magnificent monuments and incredible buildings - right up your street if you’re a bit of a history buff. Cycling is a great way to get around and bikes are easy to hire in the centre of town. Being more of a 48-hour city than a 24-hour one, you will take in everything faster on two wheels than on two legs.

The Plan

    • 1. Evening

Work is done for the week and now the real fun begins. Grab your bag, print your e-ticket and make sure you've got your passport on you because here we go! Make sure you get to the departure point (on your e-ticket) at least half an hour early and meet our expert staff who will check you and your group on to the coach before setting off. To make the journey fly-by we recommend bringing along some of your favourite DVDs, your comfiest pillow and maybe a blanket too. Stops will be made along the way; but whilst you're travelling you might as well make the most of it!

    • 2. Morning

Being located on the eastern side of Germany, Berlin takes a little while longer to get to than some of our other popular destinations by coach; all of our drivers though like to look after our guests and will make sure that you stop for an hour in the morning en-route so that you can freshen-up with a shower and grab a bite to eat before reaching Berlin in the early afternoon. Remember, if you bought a Berlin Welcome Card online redeem it from your Rep whilst your on the coach; this grants you hundreds of discounts and free entry to a handful of places all across Berlin.

    • 2. Afternoon

This is Berlin. The centre of Europe's economy and the hosts of a turbulent, but rich history, juxtaposed by growing youth-culture and modern atmosphere. Listen out to the Rep who will take you to your accommodation from the coach drop-off point and get you quickly checked-in to your rooms. The rest of the afternoon is yours. If you're looking for a quick snack, grab a famous Konnopkes Imbiss hot-dog from one of the many pop-up shops around Berlin. Our favourite is the fiery Currywurst Cut!

    • 2. Evening

Berlin is notorious for being Europe's clubbing hotspot and the students of Berlin know that the best. That's why we arrange for you to go to one of our select student nightclubs. But if you'd prefer some more chilled out spots, we suggest you look at Natanja, Watergate or Matrix. All these bars offer a unique twist on the Berlin nightlife. The coolest bars our staff will show you are in Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg, although if you prefer a more edgy atmosphere then check out some of the bars in Kreuzberg.

    • 3. Morning

Guten Morgen! Enjoy the breakfast laid on by the accommodation, a selection of continental treats, cereals and fresh fruit, with coffees and teas are available and included within your package.

    • 3. Afternoon

A great way to quickstart your afternoon in Berlin is by jumping on to the famous, insider tour. Claimed to be the 'perfect introduction' to Berlin, this tour goes to literally all the monuments, landmarks and hotsports you could imagine. It's filled with culture, history and exciting facts. If you would rather explore the city for yourself, don't miss out visiting the Koenig Gallery. It houses some outstanding masterpieces.

    • 3. Evening

The third day and second night of your experience in Berlin is traditioally bar crawl night! It starts at 8pm so make sure you are in the accommodation reception at 7:30pm for our Rep team to escort you to the first bar. The bar crawl includes free shots all night and a free beer in the first bar as well as guestlist entry into the final super-club at the end of the night... should you make it!

    • 4. Morning

If you fancy a change from the B&Bs breakfast buffet and want to get out early, head over to the north side of the river. There's a great little café called Café Rix that serves up a treat every morning. From a full German breakfast to bagels and coffee.

    • 4. Afternoon

A smooth, chilled out afternoon in Berlin is a great way to shake off the day beforet; we offer tickets to the Berlin Zoo at a cut price if you book online. This is great way to spend an afternoon. Otherwise why not check out the Brandenberg Gate or Reichstag? These historic landmarks are some of the most frequented spots in Europe.

    • 4. Evening

For your last night in Berlin you might fancy dining out at a popular Bavarian tavern or pub; if you do, check out Mutzenbacher restaurant on Libauer Steet, then head over to Hops and Barley around the corner to wash down the meal with some beer.As a nightcap, we'd suggest heading to Klunkerkranich. A garden terrace bar on top of a car park with panoramic views of Berlin. The best places to end the best trip.

    • 5. Morning

It's time to get checked-out! Make sure you have gathered all your belongings and have your passport in your hand-luggage as it will be checked at customs. Hand your keys in to the Outgoing rep that will be downstairs in the reception area and then make your way to the pick-up point.

The Prenzlauer Berg is a haven for big groups. With large open spaces, beer-garden terraces outside and a dining room that fits 200; it's obvious why this is our first choice for big study groups in Berlin.
