Sports Guide

Barcelona residents have it all, from the culture and arts, through to a glorious sporting heritage. There is loads to experience, but we feel that this hand-picked selection is unmissable…

Camp Nou

The home of Barcelona FC, this stadium sees thousands of footie fans flock here every year for matches. As well as watching the action on the pitch you can also take a tour and explore ‘backstage’. Imagine you are a player or manager wandering the corridors, running up the pitch tunnel and conducting your pre-match ritual in the changing rooms. You can even see the sacred FC Chapel here where players stop to say a last minute prayer or two before the game.

Olympic Village

It all happened here in 1992 and this is your chance to relive those massive sporting vistories. The biggest part of the village is the Stadium where many of the track events were held, but you can also experience the Swimming Complex, the Olympic Spire and the masses of landscape walkways; great for catching up with other sporting fanatics from around the world.

Port Olimpic (Port of Barcelona)

Otherwise known as the Olympic Marina, you can indulge in loads of different water sports here for the ultimate in fun. There’s even a running tour of Barcelona which begins at the port. Allow yourself to re-fuel after all the activity and stretch out on the surrounding beaches and watch the wildlife, or grab something to eat at one of the many seafood restaurants.

Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya (Grand Prix Circuit)

Experience the wow factor of Barcelona’s sporting world, with a visit to the Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya. Not just for organised races, you can also experience the thrill of taking a luxury Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche out for a spin on one of the GT driving sessions. Or go behind the scenes and find out how the great races are organised and controlled with access to many areas off limits during races.
